Bones

Last week I did a science project on bones. I also sketched three parts of the Skeletal System: the leg (from knee to foot), skull, and hand (from wrist to fingers). This is my report:

Today I learned about the Skeletal System. A few purposes of this system are:
*to support the body's shape
*joints allow movement
*to protect many organs
*blood cell production

There are about 207 bones in a body. The Femur is the biggest. It is the top part of your leg. Without your skeleton you would be squishy.

  1. I like your pictures, Samantha. After you told me about your project on the phone the pictures help me understand more about it. I still think you have a special gift in drawing! Love, GramE(heart)

  2. Good job, Samantha! I'm pretty sure that by drawing pictures of the skeletal system you learn about it much better. Not only that, but you get some practice with art at the same time. :) You are learning amazing things in home school!
